Ocean Ridge Junior Cricket Club (ORJCC) was established in 1981 and has proudly built a reputation for nurturing young cricketers in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. Our mission has always been to help players develop their skills, enjoy the game, and learn to play in the true spirit of cricket.

Affectionately known as the Sharks, our club is based in Heathridge, and we draw players from a wide area stretching between Whitfords and Joondalup.

ORJCC offers cricket opportunities for both boys and girls, providing a family-friendly atmosphere that welcomes players of all skill levels. We cater for all junior age groups, starting with the Cricket Australia Woolworths Cricket Blast program for children aged 5 to 10 years. This fun, gender-neutral format brings kids together to learn, train, and play as a team. From there, players progress into our junior club teams, ranging from Under 10s to Under 17s, before transitioning into senior cricket with Ocean Ridge Cricket Club.

With fully accredited coaches, ORJCC has enjoyed strong and consistent success on the field. Our teams have claimed numerous premiership flags across a variety of age groups over the years, and our players regularly receive recognition in the Northwest Metropolitan Cricket Association awards. We are proud to have strong representation in Joondalup Districts, Wanneroo Districts, and even Western Australia state teams, offering a clear cricket pathway for ambitious young players.

Many of our juniors have gone on to play senior cricket and some have reached the heights of first-class and international cricket, including:

• Dean Brownlie – New Zealand and Canterbury
• Marcus North – Australia, Western Australia, and Perth Scorchers
• Clint Hinchliffe – Western Australia
